Agfa brings RIS/PACS to laparoscopic unit

June 27, 2012 -- Agfa HealthCare said it has integrated its Impax RIS/PACS software with the Laparoscopic Theatre at Birmingham Children's Hospital National Health Service (NHS) Foundation Trust in the U.K.

Birmingham Children's Hospital worked in partnership with Agfa and medical instrument and device firm Karl Storz to make the endoscopy digital video recorded in the theater available across the network within the Impax RIS and PACS software, according to Agfa.
