By AuntMinnieEurope.com staff writers

May 21, 2012 -- PACS vendor Telemis is now offering cloud data storage to its PACS customers, and will demonstrate the service at the Health Information Technologies exhibition being held in Paris from 22 to 25 May.

The Belgian company announced that it successfully introduced this service at reference sites in Belgium, France, and Switzerland.

Telemis' TM-Publisher provides a Web interface enabling patients, their physicians, and other authorized healthcare providers for secure data access. Two passcodes are associated with individual patient records, facilitating authorized access to data at any time without bandwidth limitations. Images may be stored in either DICOM or JPG format, and the Web interface includes basic image manipulation and measurement tools.

Data migration services are also being offered that do not require information technology specialists or PACS administrators to perform specific configuration tasks, according to Telemis.
