Agfa launches upgraded Integrated Care Suite software

Agfa HealthCare has released an upgraded version of its web-based Integrated Care Suite software.

The suite offers modules, features, and functions for care coordination and integrated care, such as a patient self-scheduling tool, an appointment portal, the ability to upload patient data from tablets and smartphones, and cross-border image sharing, the company said.

A hospital in Belgium has used the software to facilitate 24/7 self-scheduling, according to Agfa. Patients and referring physicians can log on to the appointment portal and view, cancel, modify, and book appointments. They can indicate preferences, such as requesting a specific clinician. The hospital defines which types of appointments can be booked or modified by patients, choosing, for example, to enable only physicians to schedule appointments for very expensive or complex examinations.
