April 28, 2011 -- A Finnish hospital will implement Agfa HealthCare's PACS at its facility this spring, with the installation expected to be completed next year.
The hospital district of Helsinki and Uusimaa (HUS) will implement Agfa's Impax 6.5 PACS at its HUS-Röntgen medical imaging centers. The new software integrates with the center's RIS and includes integrated speech recognition capabilities, advanced postprocessing capabilities, and a tailored image distribution capacity for clinicians, combined with a scalable archiving feature.
HUS comprises 22 hospitals across five areas and provides healthcare for 1.5 million residents of the region. The implementation will start immediately and be completed before spring 2012.
