For 2010 (end-December 31), the vendor had sales of 1.18 billion euros ($1.678 billion U.S.), up 0.2% from the 1.178 billion euros ($1.675 million U.S.) turned in during 2009. Excluding currency effects, however, Agfa would have had a 2.3% decrease in healthcare revenue.
The firm posted recurring earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) of 174.3 million euros ($247.9 million U.S.) in 2010, compared with 168 million euros ($238.9 million U.S.) in 2009.
Agfa said it expects the turning point for the healthcare business will be reached in the second half of 2011.
In other results, Agfa's imaging IT business performed to expectations, with strong growth in emerging markets and increased market share in North America and Europe, according to the vendor.
Agfa's enterprise IT sector performed well in the German-speaking part of Europe, while the business is still in the investment phase in France, Belgium, and Luxembourg, the company said.
In imaging, Agfa said that its computed radiography and digital radiography sales performed well, while its traditional film business continues to decline.
