Credit fraudsters again target EANM members

Members of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) have again been targeted in a credit card fraud scheme.

As in a similar incident last August, the fraudsters pretended to be representatives from a travel agency, placing calls to EANM members asking for credit card details to finalize bookings for the upcoming meeting in Barcelona.

The names of the fraudulent firms are known, EANM said:

  • International Fairs Directory/MULPOR from Uruguay
  • EHS Housing/John Adam/Exhibitors Housing Services

These entities are not housing providers to the EANM, the association said, and cautioned its members to end any calls from them and not to share credit card details.

ENITED Business Events of Vienna is the only company officially assigned by the EANM to book rooms for the annual congress. The association advised members to contact it directly if they are unsure whether calls are trustworthy or if they have any further questions.
