EC grant supports molecular imaging project

The European Commission (EC) has awarded a grant of 1.3 million euros to an international consortium for the evaluation of Cerenkov luminescence imaging technology.

The two-year project will evaluate the molecular imaging method in patients undergoing surgery for gastric cancer. The trial will be conducted by Lightpoint Medical, a developer of Cerenkov luminescence imaging technology, along with partners CROmed Research, Sagentia, ABX CRO, the Frédéric Joliot-Curie National Research Institute for Radiobiology and Radiation Health, and Semmelweis University.
