Philips signs Russian healthcare deal

Philips Healthcare has signed an agreement to provide its medical technology to the largest operator of private healthcare clinics in Russia.

The company signed a multiyear partnership with MEDSI that covers both the provision of technology as well as the management of technology and operational service. Philips will also provide performance management consulting services in order to support enhanced quality of care at MEDSI facilities.

The partnership will allow MEDSI hospitals to optimize their infrastructure management, patient flows, and processes, and receive continuous training as well as regular system and software upgrades from Philips, the companies said. Philips and MEDSI will cooperate on hospital renovation, refitting a MEDSI clinical hospital in the suburbs of Moscow, and the building of a new clinical diagnostics center for children and adults, including a short-term in-patient hospital and children's clinical hospital.

The partnership also includes a clinical diagnostics center for children and adults with a daytime in-patient hospital, which will be built as part of MEDSI's Clinical Hospital on Michurinsky Avenue in Moscow. MEDSI hopes the complex will become a flagship hospital for its network, showcasing the latest trends and conceptual ideas in hospital organization and operation.
