U.K. radiographers society develops benchmarking tool
By AuntMinnieEurope.com staff writers

February 16, 2012 -- The Society and College of Radiographers (SoR) in London announced that it is working with the Amor Group to develop a benchmarking tool for radiology services.

Amor Group is working with SoR to develop BACT (Benchmarking and Comparison Tool) 4 Health, so that radiology managers can compare their services with selected or nationwide peer groups.

The BACT survey will cover U.K. Department of Health returns and CT, MRI, x-ray, and ultrasound quality and governance. It will be possible to add additional surveys through the Society and College of Radiographers.

By answering a selection of questions, radiology managers will be able to select comparable services and see which factors drive the answer. The system will offer multiple reporting outcomes. Additional questions can be answered.
