March 22, 2012 -- Portable scanner developer NeuroLogica has received CE Mark approval for BodyTom, its portable, full-body, multislice CT scanner. The CE Mark approval allows BodyTom to be sold in the European Union, the company said.

BodyTom is a 32-slice CT device that features an 85-cm gantry and 60-cm field-of-view. It is battery powered and can be transported from room to room, similar to portable chest x-ray systems, according to NeuroLogica.
