May 10, 2012 -- MRI and CT scanners from GE Healthcare have arrived at the Polyclinic for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The scanners were shipped from Rotterdam in three, 18-meter-long steel units and craned into place at the front of the Polyclinic inside the Athletes' Village in the Olympic Park. The Polyclinic will be up and running throughout the Games period from mid-July to September. GE will have on-site service engineers to provide 24/7 service maintenance support at the Polyclinic.
Other MRI, CT, ultrasound, ECG, IT, and x-ray equipment from GE will be arriving in the coming weeks, according to the vendor.
