Brainlab supports radiation oncology forum in Munich

Image-guided therapy firm Brainlab sponsored the sixth annual international conference of the Novalis Circle, held from 19 to 20 February in Munich.

The event served as a forum for the community of radiation oncology and neurosurgery attendees to address topics surrounding brain and spine cancer disease management, Brainlab said. It focused on stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiation therapy for the brain and spine across multidisciplinary cancer teams.

Presentations and panel discussions were held on five clinical treatment areas: brain metastases, primary benign tumors, vascular malformations, spine tumors, and new radiosurgery technologies. Thirty stereotactic radiosurgery and stereotactic body radiation therapy experts contributed, according to the firm.

The Novalis Circle is a worldwide network of clinicians dedicated to the advancement of radiosurgery, Brainlab said.
