French radiology society offers imaging innovation prize

A new prize will be awarded for medical imaging innovation in France next month, according to the French Radiology Society (SFR) in cooperation with the National Association of Medical Technologies Industry (SNITEM).

The prize is aimed at promoting innovation in the fields of diagnostic and interventional imaging, image-guided therapy, digital imaging, and information sharing, the SFR said in a statement. It is open to individuals and organizations that have created the innovation or a prototype and reside in French territory.

The award includes SFR membership for the winning individual or organization, a booth at the technical exposition of next year's Journées Françaises de Radiologie (JFR 2016) to be held next October in Paris, along with the advice and support of the societies, expert opinions, and a scientific meeting to be held at JFR 2016, SFR said.

The leading applications will be chosen by a jury on 19 October at JFR 2015 in Paris.
