EOS gets CE Mark for hip arthroplasty planning software

Orthopedic digital imaging firm EOS Imaging has received the CE Mark for hipEOS, a hip arthroplasty planning software based on its biplanar 3D imaging.

hipEOS is based on EOS's low-dose 3D images and technology from OneFit Medical, a company EOS imaging purchased in late 2013. It will initially be used as an online service to help surgeons in hip prosthesis selection and placement simulation based on 3D images generated by the EOS system, according to the firm.
