March 13, 2013 -- Imaging software developer Median Technologies has received a 633,000 euro award to provide imaging services in a phase II clinical trial for prostate cancer, the company said.
Median will provide trial-specific imaging procedures and image quality control; it will also manage the independent reviews performed by radiologists using its LMS platform, which is based on proprietary image processing algorithms, according to the firm.
Median's part of the project is estimated at 633,000 euros ($820,000 U.S.).
The project will include data gathered from more than 80 clinical sites in 18 countries worldwide, Median said. Total trial enrollment is expected to be 250 patients.
