DITTA to attend World Health Assembly

The Global Diagnostic Imaging, Healthcare IT, and Radiation Therapy Trade Association (DITTA) plans to attend the World Health Organization's upcoming World Health Assembly in Geneva.

At the meeting, DITTA will emphasize its commitment to working with the World Health Organization on preventing and controlling noncommunicable diseases, as well as its support of radiotherapy as a cost-effective cancer therapy treatment. The association has posted a full statement on how to prevent and control noncommunicable diseases on its website.

The group will also support an event to be held on May 26 that will address patient safety in pediatric imaging. Organized by delegations from Kenya, Malaysia, Spain, and Uganda, the session will allow policymakers, healthcare providers, and patient organizations to discuss how to use radiological procedures appropriately in pediatrics, DITTA said.
