Carestream secures PACS supply deal
By AuntMinnieEurope.com staff writers

August 10, 2012 -- Carestream Health has been awarded preferred bidder status for the supply of PACS to the Cheshire and Merseyside National Health Service (NHS) Consortium in northwest England.

As existing contracts for PACS and RIS systems expired, Informatics Merseyside facilitated a consortium of 11 independent NHS Trusts to collaborate on the purchase of replacement PACS.

Carestream noted there could be as many as 11 individual PACS agreements with each of the participating trusts for five-year service contracts with the option to extend the agreements for another five years.

Installations will begin in early 2013.
