By AuntMinnieEurope.com staff writers

June 26, 2012 -- Radiation oncology firm Accuray has signed a master research and collaboration agreement with Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.

Accuray said it will partner with the institution on research in radiation oncology. The company has been working with Erasmus on research initiatives since the center installed its first CyberKnife robotic radiosurgery system in 2004.

The institution is now evaluating hypothetical path sets and assessing the vendor's InTempo Adaptive Imaging System, which enhances the CyberKnife's ability to continually track and correct for motion of the prostate during treatment, Accuray said.
