Italian national congress begins in Turin on Friday

May 30, 2012 -- The 45th National Congress of the Italian Radiology Society (SIRM) begins on Friday at Turin's Lingotto Congress Center, and it will run until Tuesday 5 June.

At the opening session on Friday afternoon, the European Society of Radiology (ESR) President, Dr. Gabriel P. Krestin from Rotterdam, will be one of the speakers, along with SIRM President Dr. Antonio Rotondo from Naples and Congress President Dr. Giovanni Gandini from Turin.

The SIRM congress takes places every two years, and is the most significant event for radiology in Italy. Thousands of attendees are expected, including visitors from neighboring countries. Among the attendees will be radiologists, technologists, physicists, biotech engineers, nuclear medicine physicians, hospital IT staff, and hospital managers.
