The facility, which will spearhead the vendor's clinical imaging IT development activities, will serve as a worldwide center of excellence, according to Agfa. In addition to developing the company's Impax PACS, Impax RIS, and Imaging Clinical Information System (ICIS) offerings, the facility will focus on new technology such as digital pathology.

The facility will also house a global data center, Agfa said.
