August 18, 2010 -- Siemens Healthcare of Erlangen, Germany, has installed its Magnetom Avanto 1.5-tesla system at Birmingham City Hospital in the U.K.
The hospital, which is part of Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, upgraded its previous Siemens MRI with the new system.
Birmingham City Hospital is using the MRI for a range of general examinations, along with peripheral angiography scans and diffusion-weighted imaging.
