JFR 2017 adds session on future of radiology

The Journées Francophones de Radiologie (JFR) congress will include a new session that will offer predictions for radiology in 2030 and the role the specialty will play in healthcare.

Held in the same spirit as the popular TEDx talks, the FutuRIM session will take place on 13 October and will feature three major presentations, according to the French Radiology Society (Société Française de Radiologie, SFR).

Dr. Françoise Sivignon, president of MĂ©decins du Monde (Doctors of the World) France, will present on the history of medicine, while Dr. Michael Dake of Stanford University in the U.S. will offer his predictions on the future of interventional radiology. In addition, Vincent Champain of think tank Long Term Observatory will analyze the impact of technologies such as artificial intelligence on radiology.
