Philips reveals upgrades at CIRSE 2016

Philips Healthcare parent Royal Philips plans to unveil new features for its OncoSuite interventional oncology package at the 2016 Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE) annual meeting, which begins in Barcelona on 10 September.

The company's next generation OncoSuite will allow physicians to offer targeted treatment of tumor lesions, reducing the impact to healthy tissue. It can be for a variety of different cancers, including bone, kidney, and lung, but the package has been optimized for the treatment of patients with liver cancer, Philips said.

OncoSuite also features Phillips' XperCT Dual for enhanced imaging; EmboGuide for 3D image guidance for tumor embolization; and XperGuide for 3D image guidance for tumor ablation, according to the firm.
