The European Society of Radiology (ESR) has opened abstract submission for ECR 2017, to be held in Vienna on 1-5 March, while also expanding its funding scheme for young professionals to travel to the meeting.
Dr. Paul Parizel, president of both the ECR and the ESR, has chosen to make youth a central theme of ECR 2017, greatly expanding the society's Invest in Youth initiative, ESR said. For ECR 2017, 1,000 young trainee radiologists, radiographers, and physicist applicants will have the full cost of meeting registration and hotel accommodations paid, a significant increase from the 600 paid registrations provided in 2016, ESR said.
