Supersonic reports revenue growth in Q1

Ultrasound technology developer Supersonic Imagine posted a nearly 20% increase in revenue for its first quarter, driven by strong growth in its France, Asia, and the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) markets.

The company had first-quarter revenue of 4.1 million euros, up 19% on a constant currency basis from the 3.4 million euros recorded in the first quarter of 2015. The first-quarter growth reflects the firm's ambitions for double-digit growth in 2016, according to Supersonic CEO Bernard Doorenbos.

In other quarterly developments, the company said it worked hard during the quarter to implement its commercial strategy by specialty, focusing on the liver and breast. In the first concrete result under this initiative, Supersonic signed a distribution agreement with Sandhill Scientific for the liver market in the U.S., Doorenbos said in a statement.
