Röntgen birthplace chairperson receives award

The German Radiological Society (DRG) chairman of the Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen Birthplace Foundation was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on 1 October.

Dr. Ulrich Mödder was recognized for his work and commitment to the birthplace of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen and the German Röntgen Museum.

Until his retirement in 2009, Mödder was director of the Institute of Diagnostic Radiology at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf. He was also president of the Rheinisch-Westfälische Radiological Society (1992-1995), president of the DRG (1999-2001), and president of the German Radiology Congress (2007). Since 2011, he has been an honorary member of the DRG.
