DRG crafts curriculum for radiology

The German Radiological Society (DRG) has developed a curriculum for radiology and a guide for the study of medicine in Germany. The initiative was led by Dr. Birgit Ertl-Wagner from Munich.

The development comes on the heels of the statement issued by the National Competence-Based Learning Objectives for Undergraduate Medical Education (NKLM) about quality improvement of teaching and learning, which started and was adopted on 4 June 2015.

The DRG collaborated with the NKLM, but not all comments could be found in the NKLM, which is why the DRG created its own curriculum for radiology. The curriculum is available for all lecturers, chief doctors, and head physicians at medical faculties and other medical associations. It is an open, living document, which may be supplemented or changed. It may be downloaded (in German) from the DRG website.
