SFR announces death of Dr. Dominique Doyon

Dr. Dominique Doyon died on 10 February, according to an announcement posted on the website of the Société Française de Radiologie (SFR). He was 82.

A pioneer in interventional radiology, Doyon performed the first hepatic arterial embolization in 1973. He also developed a gas myelography technique used in angiography and was a recognized expert in maxillofacial imaging.

Doyon served as president of the Société Francophone d'Imagerie Tête et Cou (CIREOL) from 1995 to 1998 and under various roles at Bicêtre Hospital in Le Kremlin-Bicêtre, France from 1972 until his retirement in 1998.
