Elekta brings VMAT to Republic of Ireland

Radiation oncology firm Elekta said that Galway Clinic in the Republic of Ireland has begun treating patients with its volumetric modulated arc therapy (VMAT) radiation therapy technology.

The first institution in the Republic of Ireland to offer VMAT, Galway Clinic installed its Elekta Versa HD system in March 2014, according to Elekta.
