Esaote appoints new managing director, CEO

Ultrasound and MRI vendor Esaote has named Karl-Heinz Lumpi as its new managing director and CEO.

Carlos Alonso, the former managing director and CEO, resigned to pursue other interests, according to Esaote.

A 20-year ultrasound industry veteran, Lumpi joins Esaote after most recently serving as general manager for women's health ultrasound at GE Healthcare. Prior to GE, Lumpi was a member of Kretztechnik's board of directors.
