Reiser, a professor of radiology, the chairman of the department of clinical radiology, and dean of medicine at Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich, is a long-time member of the European Society of Radiology (ESR). He served as the society's president in 2010-2011, and was recently awarded the society's highest honor, the ESR Gold Medal, at ECR 2013.
