Elekta shuffles management team

Radiation oncology firm Elekta has made a number of changes to its executive management team.

Johan Sedihn, who is currently executive vice president of oncology, has been appointed as CEO. Replacing Sedihn is Bill Yaeger, who comes to Elekta after serving as CEO of Oncology Services International.

In other moves, Elekta said that Olof Sandén, executive vice president and head of the Europe, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East region, has decided to leave Elekta. President and CEO Tomas Puusepp will be assuming his responsibilities on an interim basis, according to the company.

Elekta has also promoted John Lapré, vice president of research and development for brachytherapy, to executive vice president of brachytherapy. Lapré will succeed Jos Lamers, who has elected to leave the company, Elekta said.
