May 30, 2012 -- Carestream Health has won a contract with the new Royal London Hospital for five of its mobile digital radiography systems, the company said.

The hospital opened in December 2011, and is part of Barts Health NHS Trust in London. Carestream will deliver five of its DRX-Revolution mobile units in June, when the device becomes available worldwide, according to Carestream.

In 2010, Royal London Hospital invested in eight DRX-Evolution DR rooms. Carestream's DRX detectors can be shared across multiple x-ray systems, the company said.
