By AuntMinnieEurope.com staff writers

May 24, 2012 -- Ultrasound technology developer Misonix has signed a new three-year exclusive distribution agreement with Swidnik, Poland-based WA-Med for the distribution of the BoneScalpel ultrasonic bone-cutting system.

The agreement gives WA-Med the right to sell the system throughout Poland and incorporates annual minimum purchase requirements. Product training is in process, and open market sales will commence shortly, Misonix said.

BoneScalpel is a tissue-specific osteotomy device that can make precise cuts through bone and hard tissue while largely preserving delicate soft-tissue structures, offering the convenience and speed of a power instrument without the danger associated with rotary sharps, according to the company.
